New Delhi: After 5G service, now preparations are being made to start 6G service in the country. PM Modi said on Tuesday that by the end of this decade, efforts have been started by the government to enable 6G service in the country. Currently, 3G and 4G (3G & 4G) service are available in the country. There is a preparation to start 5G service in the coming few months.
The progress and employment of the country will get momentum
Addressing the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on the completion of 25 years through video conference, PM Modi said that in the coming 15 years, 5G is going to contribute $ 450 billion to the country's economy. This will give impetus to the progress and employment of the country. He also said that connectivity in the 21st century will determine the pace of progress of the country.
Also issued a postage stamp
PM Modi also released a postage stamp on the occasion and also launched a 5G testbed developed as a multi-institution collaborative project by a total of 8 institutes led by IIT Madras. Congratulating the researchers and institutions associated with this project, he said, 'I have got the opportunity to dedicate my own, self-made 5G testbed to the nation. This is also an important step towards the self-reliance on critical and modern technology in the telecom sector.
He said, 'Connectivity in 21st century India will determine the pace of progress of the country. So connectivity has to be modernized at every level. The PM said that many changes are going to happen with 5G technology. This will lead to progress in agriculture, health and education in every field. He said, 'A team has started working to make 6G service possible by the end of this decade.'
