New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will preside over two meetings of 'Chintan Shivir of Home Ministers' of the states. This meeting is being held on 27 and 28 October 2022 at Surajkund, Haryana. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Chintan Shivir of Home Ministers on October 28 through video conferencing.
The Home Ministers of the States and the Lieutenant Governors and Administrators of the Union Territories will participate in the Chintan Shivir. The DGP and the Home Secretary of the state will also participate in this camp. The objective of this Chintan Shivir is to prepare a plan for the implementation of “Vision 2047” and Panch Pran announced in the Independence Day speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In Chintan Shivir, the development of an eco-system for cybercrime management, modernization of police forces, I.T. Other issues related to increased use of land, border management and coastal security and internal security will be discussed. Special emphasis will be laid on the safety of women in the country and on creating a safe environment for them in the Chintan Shivir.
7-8 sessions will be held
The aim of the Chintan Shivir is also to facilitate national policy-making and better planning and coordination in the above-mentioned areas. There will be seven to eight sessions in the two-day contemplation camp of the Home Ministers. On the first day of the camp, topics like Home Guard, Civil Defense, Fire Protection, and Enemy Property will be discussed. On the second day, important issues like cyber security, drug trafficking, women's safety and border management will be discussed.
Initiatives like a safe city project, 112-single emergency response system, anti-human trafficking units in districts, women help desks in police stations and biometric identity cards for fishermen will also be discussed in the meeting. Union Home Minister Amit Shah himself will deliver the statement at the opening and closing ceremony of the Chintan Shivir. In the meeting, seven and eight states will give presentations on security issues.
The purpose of the sessions on various subjects is to encourage and ensure the participation of the State Governments on these issues. The special thing is that the Home Minister of many states is the Chief Minister there, so the Chief Ministers of most of the states of the country will be involved in this contemplation camp. All eyes will be on whether Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will attend the meeting. After the last Bengal elections, there has been no one-to-one meeting between Home Minister Amit Shah with Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee.
On October 27, before the Chintan rally, the Home Minister will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various projects in another program to be held in Faridabad itself. The Home Minister will address a rally at HUDA Maidan in the city.
