The Bombay High Court has given great relief to Aryan Khan. The court has granted him bail.
The Bombay High Court has given big relief to Aryan Khan, son of actor Shahrukh Khan, model Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant. All three got bail today from the court in the drugs case. Aryan is currently lodged in Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai.
During the hearing, NCB's counsel Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh strongly opposed the bail. NCB said that Aryan has been consuming drugs for almost two years and is part of the conspiracy. He was aware of drugs on the cruise. Aryan cannot be given bail.
On this, the court asked what is the basis of the allegation of Aryan's drug trade? On this question, NCB said that the matter has come out from Aryan's WhatsApp chat. On NCB's claim, senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for Aryan Khan, said that NCB should give evidence of conspiracy. Aryan did not know that his friend had drugs. Aryan Khan did not do any conspiracy.
Let us inform you that Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were detained by the NCB team from Cruise on October 2. The team led by NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede had raided the cruise and recovered drugs. These people were taken into custody on this charge and later all were arrested. NCB has arrested 20 people in this case.
Significantly, Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha had moved the Bombay High Court last week after the special court for NDPS cases rejected their bail applications.
