CBSE12th board result released: Highest result so far, 99.37 percent students passed

99.37% students passed in CBSE's 12th result on Friday. Girls have won for the 6th time in a row. Their result was 0.54% more than boys. Also, 70,004 students secured more than 95% marks.


New Delhi: 99.37% students have passed in CBSE's 12th result on Friday. This is the highest ever pass percentage, which is 10.59% higher than last year. In the year 2020, 88.78% students passed. Girls have won for the 6th time in a row. Their result was 0.54% more than boys. Last year, however, the difference was more than 6% and 70,004 students secured more than 95% marks. At the same time, those who got marks between 90-95% were 1,50,152. This time, 6149 students have been kept in the compartment category. Their result will come on 5th August.



Result from assessment scheme for the second consecutive year

In view of Corona, CBSE had also cancelled the 12th exams this year and prepared results on the basis of an assessment scheme for the second consecutive year. In this, marks were given to the students on the formula of 30:30:40. In this scheme, 30-30 percent weightage was given to the final result of 10th-11th each and 40% weightage was given to the pre-board exam of 12th.


Thiruvananthapuram stood first

As per the region wise result in pass percentage, Thiruvananthapuram (99.89%) stood first. It was followed by Delhi West (99.84%), Delhi East (99.89%), Bengaluru (99.89%), Chennai (99.89%) and Panchkula (99.89%).


Pass Percentage

  • 70,004 students got more than 95% marks, out of which 129 students with disabilities had more than 95% marks of 38,686 in the year 2020.

  • 1,50,152 students scored between 90 to 95%, last year 1.57 lakh students remained like this.

  • 100% result for the students of Kendriya Vidyalayas and Central Tibetan School Administration, Transgender students also all pass.

  • Navodaya School is second with 99.94% pass percentage, government school at number three with 99.72% result.

  • With 99.84% results, Delhi region ranked fourth, Thiruvananthapuram topped with 99.89% results.

6.88% decrease in compartment cases

The Class 12 result with Covid-19 has been special. While the pass percentage has increased by 10.59%, the number of compartment students has decreased by 6.88%. This year only 6149 students have got compartment in class 12, whereas last year this number was 87651 students (7.35%). These students have failed in one or more subjects. Compared to 2020, 6.88% less students will give the compartment exam. At the same time, there were 99207 (8.23%) such students in 2019.
