New Delhi: Delhi Police on Friday said that no case of hate speech is made out against wrestlers, as stated in a complaint filed with them. The police has filed a status report in the Patiala House Court and the court has taken the report on record. The Delhi Police has said in its report that there is no evidence that the wrestlers used any indecent language during the protest at Jantar Mantar.


The police in its status report, citing a video clip submitted by complainant Bam Bam Maharaj, said, "The controversial slogan against Prime Minister Modi was raised by some Sikh protesters."


In its status report filed in the Patiala House Court, Delhi Police has said, 'The complainant has also provided a pen drive, which has this news and a video clip of the Protest, in which some unidentified Sikh protesters are seen raising controversial slogans against PM Modi. can be seen.


A perusal of the material and video clip provided by the complainant shows that no cognizable offence is made out for the use of foul language by the wrestlers. In this video clip, Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and other wrestlers are not seen raising any such slogan. Therefore, the court is requested to kindly dismiss the complaint lodged against him. All parties will follow any direction/order passed by the court.


Taking the status report of Delhi Police on record, the Patiala House Court has fixed July 7 as the next date of hearing in the matter. Further, the Delhi Police told the Patiala House Court that as far as the two other complaints filed by Bam Bam Maharaj (in which he stated that Brijbhushan Sharan Singh was falsely accused without any concrete evidence), Those complaints were forwarded to the Connaught Place police station, where two FIRs were registered against the wrestling federation president on the complaint of the wrestlers.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, the wrestlers had postponed their protest against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh till June 15. . Union Sports Minister Anurath Thakur, while addressing the media about the meeting, had said, "Delhi Police will file the charge sheet by June 15, Wrestling Federation elections will be held by June 30."
