The total receipts in this budget are estimated to be Rs.6 lakh 83 thousand 292 crore 74 lakh. Of these, revenue receipts of Rs 5 lakh 79 thousand 865 crores 66 lakh and capital receipts of Rs 1 lakh 12 thousand 427 crore eight lakh are included.
New Delhi: The Yogi Adityanath-led Bharatiya Janata Party government of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday presented a budget of Rs 6 lakh 90 thousand 242 crores in the assembly for the financial year 2023-24. Yogi Adityanath said that the budget is a budget to present the foundation of a self-reliant Uttar Pradesh on the lines of self-reliant India, along with the all-inclusive and overall development of Uttar Pradesh.
CM Yogi Adityanath said, "This budget will prove to be the foundation stone for establishing Uttar Pradesh as the country's largest economy and for Uttar Pradesh to become a $1 trillion economy in the next 5 years as per the vision of the Prime Minister. The budget is more than 6 lakh 90 thousand crore rupees. The budget for 2016-17 was 3 lakh 40 thousand crore rupees. In the last 6 years, the budget of the state has increased more than double. During this, the per capita income of the state has doubled. has exceeded."
In this biggest budget in the history of the state, special care has been taken for basic infrastructure development, education, health and farmers, women and youth. State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna presented a budget of Rs 6 lakh 90 thousand 242 crores 43 lahks in the assembly. The government had presented a budget of six lakh 15 thousand 518 crores for the financial year 2022-23. This time new schemes worth Rs 32 thousand 721 crores 96 lahks have been included in the budget.

The total expenditure of Rs 6 lakh 90 thousand 242 crore 43 lakh is estimated in the budget. In this, Rs 5 lakh 2 thousand 354 crore 1 lakh is spent on revenue account, while Rs 1 lakh 87 thousand 888 crore 42 lakh is spent on capital account. Fiscal deficit in the budget is estimated at Rs 84 thousand 883 crore 16 lakh, which is 3.48 percent of the estimated state gross domestic product (GSDP) for the year.
