CM Yogi Adityanath said - CPI (M) and Congress do not believe in the existence of Ram-Krishna

Addressing a rally in Bagbasa in north Tripura, Adityanath said the people of Tripura have seen "misrule" by both the Communists and the Congress for many years, but the state has registered development for the first time under the BJP's rule.

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday alleged that the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) and the Congress, which are contesting the Tripura Assembly elections together, do not believe in the existence of Lord Ram or Krishna. Adityanath claimed at an election rally in North Tripura's Bagbasa that both these parties also tried to stop the construction of the Kashi Vishwanath temple corridor and the Ram temple in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a rally in Bagbasa in north Tripura, Adityanath said the people of Tripura have seen "misrule" by both the Communists and the Congress for many years, but the state has registered development for the first time under the BJP's rule. Tripura was ruled by Congress and the CPI(M) for most of the time. The BJP came to power in 2018 ending the Left rule in the state. The CPI (M) and the Congress have tied up for the assembly elections to be held on February 16.

Adityanath said, "The Congress and the Left always tried to stop the construction of the Kashi Vishwanath temple corridor. They were the biggest hurdle before the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya as well. They don't want to respect faith. They claimed that Ram Or Krishna did not exist." The Chief Minister said that now the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya is in the final stage.

Adityanath also alleged that Congress and the CPI(M) were trying to stall the fast-paced development process. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said, "I have seen Tripura before the 2018 assembly elections and have seen the lack of development in the state. The state has developed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi."

'When Congress ruled the country, corruption was at its peak'

Referring to the government's welfare schemes, Adityanath claimed that for the first time, all people were getting benefits irrespective of their political ideology. He said this was possible because of the 'double-engine' government. Attacking the Congress, Adityanath said, "When the country was ruled by the Congress, corruption was at its peak. The coal scam, the 2G scam and the Commonwealth Games scam happened during the Congress rule. Corruption became synonymous with the Congress."
