Corona continues to wreak havoc in UP, orders of CM Yogi - Strictness should be increased in cities

Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, the process of increasing the cases of corona infection continues. In the meeting of Team 09 on Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed the officials to increase the number of Covid tests in the state.


CM Yogi was told that in the last 48 hours, 305 new cases were confirmed in the entire state, including 124 in Gautam Budh Nagar, 41 in Ghaziabad, 23 in Lucknow, and 20 in Agra. During the same period, 771 people also became healthy. In Hamirpur and Lalitpur also, new cases have been confirmed in double digits. The CM said that their contact tracing and travel history should also be assessed. In districts where more cases are being received, it has been made mandatory to apply face masks in public places. Its effective compliance should be done.


Let us tell you that so far 31 crores 76 lakh doses of Covid vaccine have been applied in the state. While more than 11 crore 21 lakh Kovid tests have also been done. The entire population aged 18+ has received at least one dose of the vaccine, while 89% of adults have received both doses. More than 95.74% of adolescents in the age group 15 to 17 have received the first dose and 69.17% of adolescents have received both doses. More than 68% children in the age group of 12 to 14 have got the vaccine. The Chief Minister directed that vaccination of children and booster dose of adults needs to be further accelerated.


1.21 lakh people took advantage of the health fair

With the successful implementation of the policy of Track, Test, Treat and Vaccine, effective control of Kovid remains in Uttar Pradesh. For easy availability of health facilities/services in the villages, 'Chief Minister's unqualified fairs' are proving to be meaningful. So far 43 fairs have been organized, where more than 1 crore people have availed various health facilities. On Sunday, about 1.21 lakh people took advantage of the Arogya Mela.
