Court convicts Asaram in rape case, sentence will be announced tomorrow

Asaram, wearing a saint's robe, has been convicted by the court in a rape case and his sentence will be announced on Tuesday. In 2013, Asaram was accused of rape by a Surat girl, while Narayan Sai was accused of rape by her younger sister.


New Delhi: Asaram, who wears the robes of a saint, has been convicted in a rape case. Today the Gandhinagar Addition District and Sessions Court has given its verdict against Asaram. On the other hand, the other accused has been acquitted. Now Asaram's punishment will be announced tomorrow (January 31). Asaram was presented in the virtual court today.


Explain that in the 2013 case, Asaram was accused of rape by a Surat girl, while her younger sister accused Narayan Sai of rape. Besides Asaram, his wife Lakshmi, daughter Bharati and four female followers Dhruvben, Nirmala, Jassi and Meera are accused in the case.


Dead body was found from Asaram's ashram in April 2022

The troubles of Asaram Bapu, who was jailed for raping a minor, had also increased in April 2022, when the body of a minor girl was found in jailed Asaram Bapu's ashram in UP's Gonda. The body was found in a car parked inside the ashram for a long time. As soon as the information about the dead body was received, the police reached the spot and took the dead body into custody.


According to the information received, the girl had gone missing from her house 4 days ago, whose body was found in a car parked in Asaram Bapu's ashram for several days. The case was of Vimour under Nagar Kotwali area. Here is the ashram of Asaram. The minor girl was missing since April 5. The dead body in the car could be detected only when foul smell started emanating from it. When the employee of the ashram opened the car, he saw the dead body of the girl lying in it.
