Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had already announced

Let us tell you that in 2018, Yogi Adityanath had announced that Faizabad would be known as Ayodhya district. On 6 November 2018, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath approved the renaming of Faizabad district to Ayodhya and shifting the administrative headquarters of the district to Ayodhya city.

Allahabad was also renamed as Prayagraj

It is worth noting that earlier in October 2018, the name of Allahabad was changed to Prayagraj. Subsequently, in June 2018, the more than 100-year-old Mughalsarai railway station was renamed after Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyay. There was a lot of politics on this issue when the name was changed by the government.
