New Delhi: India has acknowledged that its ties with China are "complicated", while criticizing Pakistan for consistently sponsoring cross-border terrorism despite New Delhi's efforts to normalize ties. The report said, "India's engagement with China is complex. Chinese attempts to unilaterally change the status quo along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the western sector starting from April-May 2020 have led to disruption of peace along the LAC." Indian Armed Forces have faced them."

The Annual Report on Pakistan states that India desires normal neighbourly relations with Pakistan. It also states that Pakistan is engaged in hostile and fabricated propaganda to defame India and divert attention from its domestic political and economic failures. India has completely and categorically rejected all actions and statements of Pakistan on matters which are completely internal to India.
Kashmir is an integral part of India, and illegal smuggling of arms to Pakistan
The report said, "There is a broad understanding among the countries that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and that matters relating to it are internal to India. Despite India's persistent insistence that Pakistan not cede its soil or territory to its territory since January 2004, respects its commitment not to subjugate.
