Himachal elections: PM Narendra Modi made a big appeal to voters before voting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a big appeal to the voters in the Himachal elections. She has put forward the issue of women voters and nationalism in the state to support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his rallies in Kangra and Hamirpur districts, said that women have decided to change the custom (tradition) of changing the government every five years, so no one can stop it now."


The prime minister refrained from mentioning the 'old pension scheme', but it is a major issue for Congress. This can entice about two lakh families of government employees. Congress has promised that the old pension scheme will be implemented if it wins the election.


PM Narendra Modi stressed that women in Himachal Pradesh are with the BJP. They have been given a host of welfare schemes ranging from toilets to houses, gas cylinders, electricity and drinking water.


He said that the BJP has also presented an 11-point manifesto for women, which has many benefits. He also pointed to the free ration given to the families during the Kovid epidemic. This is a factor that has played a big role in the BJP winning elections in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, in which women supported the party. There is about 48 per cent of women voters in Himachal Pradesh, the BJP wants to reach them. In a tweet on Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi also mentioned women in Himachal 'especially' supporting the BJP.


PM Narendra Modi in his Hamirpur rally raised the issue that the BJP candidate from the Sujanpur seat was an ex-serviceman and said he had met many ex-servicemen at the rally. He said, “I admire the mothers who gave birth to them. I went to Kargil this Diwali; I saw pictures of Prem Kumar Dhumal and me going to Kargil during the war.


I spend every Diwali with the soldiers.' He targeted Congress and said that "They cheated you for 40 years on One Rank One Pension Scheme. Even now they are making some promises. But we also paid OROP dues. We have spent Rs 60,000 crore on OROP. Ex-servicemen are with us because of the OROP scheme.' PM Narendra Modi said that Congress has insulted an army chief and questioned the surgical strike. National security is paramount for us. Congress adopted scams in defence. We have also opened all three forces to women.
