Indian and Chinese forces clash near LAC in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, minor injuries to soldiers

On the skirmish between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Tawang sector on LAC, army sources said that both sides had immediately retreated from the area. Sources said that the Indian commander held a 'flag meeting' with the Chinese counterpart to restore peace after the skirmish on the LAC in the Tawang sector.

New Delhi: Chinese soldiers (PLA) are not desisting from their provocative antics. They once again tried to violate the Line of Actual Control (LAC), to which the brave soldiers of the Indian Army gave a befitting reply. In fact, on December 9, Chinese soldiers tried to cross the LAC in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh, which Indian soldiers fought strongly. During this, there was a slight skirmish between the soldiers of India and China. In the face-to-face fight, some soldiers from both sides suffered minor injuries. After this, both sides immediately withdrew from the area.

Sources said, “There are different perceptions in some areas along the LAC in the Tawang sector in Arunachal Pradesh, with both sides patrolling the area to the extent of their claims. This trend has been going on since 2006. On 09 December 2022, PLA troops entered the LAC in the Tawang sector, which was fiercely fought by our troops. In the face-to-face skirmish, some jawans from both sides also suffered minor injuries.


The source said that at least 6 soldiers of the Indian Army were injured in a clash with Chinese soldiers in the Tawang sector, who were brought to Guwahati for treatment. The source said, “Both sides patrol in some of their claimed areas adjacent to the LAC in the Tawang sector in Arunachal Pradesh. This series is going on since 2006.
