Let us tell you that the idol of 18th century goddess Annapurna was stolen from Kashi in 1913 and taken to Canada. This 17 cm long and 9 cm wide statue with food in one hand and kheer in the other was kept in the Mackenzie Art Gallery of the University of Regina, Canada. He raised the issue when Indian artist Divya Mehra caught sight of the statue during the World Heritage Week organized in Canada.

CM Yogi said- Kashi is identified with the abode of Baba Vishwanath. When the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi came here in 1916, he made a very sharp remark after seeing the street and the dirt in the Baba Vishwanath temple. Those who got power in the name of Gandhiji and used to do politics in his name, they did not even listen to the words of Gandhiji. Earlier the idols of India were transported to the world through smuggling, India's faith was hurt. Today those idols are being brought back to India by searching.
