Manipur election result 2022: Manipur painted saffron, but JDU surprised everyone, defeating 6 BJP

According to the data released by the Election Commission, all the six JDU candidates have defeated the BJP candidates. The difference of votes among the BJP candidates has been very less. The difference of votes in four seats was less than eight hundred. In the other two seats, the difference of votes between the two parties is 1249 and 3773.

Imphal: Along with Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won the Manipur Election 2022. The results of 59 out of 60 seats in Manipur have been declared. BJP has won 32 seats and is going to form the government. The most shocking performance in the state was that of Janata Dal United. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's party has won 6 seats in the state. Congress has also got the same number of seats and is leading in one seat.


JDU defeated BJP candidates

According to the data released by the Election Commission, all the six JDU candidates have defeated the BJP candidates. The difference of votes among the BJP candidates has been very less. The difference of votes in four seats was less than eight hundred. At the same time, the difference of votes between the two parties in the other two seats is 1249 and 3773. From Churachandpur seat, JDU's LM Khaute defeated BJP's candidate V Hongkhanliani by 624 votes.


JDU's Mohd from Jiribam seat. Achab Uddin defeated BJP candidate Nemkirappam Buddhachandra Singh by 416 votes. JD(U)'s Mohd Abdul Nasiro defeated BJP's Y Antas Khan by 570 votes from Lilong seat. JD(U)'s Khumuchham Joykisan Singh defeated BJP's Jotin Waikhom by 3773 votes from Thangmiband seat. From Tipaimukh seat, Nagursangalur Sanate of JD(U) defeated Chaltan Lien Amo of BJP by 1249 votes. Thangjam Arun Kumar of JD(U) defeated Okram Henry of BJP by 753 votes from Wangkhei seat.


BJP majority

The ruling BJP coalition government in Manipur has achieved the magic number of 31 seats. In the Hingang seat, Chief Minister N Biren Singh defeated his nearest rival P Saratchandra Singh of Congress by 18,271 votes. Manipur CM N Biren Singh said after the victory of BJP that I thank the people of Manipur. I thank our national leaders PM Modi, Amit Shah, JP Nadda for guiding us. We live in Manipur under his guidance. The victories in Goa, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh reflect PM Modi's mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'.
