MP Navneet Rana recited Hanuman Chalisa in Delhi today

MP Navneet Rana and her husband were jailed after the announcement of reciting Hanuman Chalisa in Maharashtra. At the same time, to fulfil their announcement, the Rana couple recited Hanuman Chalisa in Delhi today.

New Delhi: Navneet Rana, MP from Amravati, Maharashtra, along with her husband Ravi Rana had announced to recite Hanuman Chalisa outside CM Uddhav Thackeray's house in Mumbai. After which they had to go to jail. But to implement this announcement, the Rana couple changed the city and today they performed aarti and recited Hanuman Chalisa at the famous Hanuman temple in Connaught Place, Delhi. During this, her husband and Independent MLA from Maharashtra Ravi Rana was also present with her.

Significantly, both Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana were arrested on April 23 after they announced to read Hanuman Chalisa outside Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray's residence 'Matoshree' last month. A case was registered against him under several sections including sedition.


After being in jail for 12 days, he got bail from the conditional court on the 13th day. After her release, Navneet Rana challenged CM Uddhav Thackeray to choose a constituency and face her in the next elections. He also called the Shiv Sena government 'gunda raj'.
