NEET PG 2021 Exam will be held on September 11: Health Minister

There will be separate timings for entry and exit, contactless registration, cleanliness, seating arrangement with social distancing, etc will be ensured.

New Delhi: The date of NEET post graduation exam date (NEET PG exam date 2021) has been announced. Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced the exam date by tweeting. According to the Union Minister, the NEET PG exam will be held on 11 September 2021.

Mandaviya tweeted, 'We have decided to conduct the post graduation exam on September 11, 2021. My best wishes to the young medical candidates. The NEET-PG exam proposed on 18 April was postponed due to the increasing cases of coronavirus.


NEET exam will be held on 12th September

Earlier on Monday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the date of NEET UG Exam 2021. After that, online registration for this exam started today. He had said that the NEET exam will be conducted on September 12, 2021, following the Covid-19 protocol across the country.

Pradhan tweeted, 'NEET-UG 2021 will be conducted on September 12 across the country following the Covid-19 rules. Masks will be provided at the center to the examinees to ensure compliance with the Covid-19 rules. There will be separate timings for entry and exit, contactless registration, cleanliness, seating arrangement with social distancing etc. will be ensured.

Number of exam centers increased

The Education Minister also said that the number of cities where the examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198 to ensure that social distancing is followed. This time the number of examination centers will also be increased as against 3862 centers of the previous examination.

Last year, the NEET exam was conducted on September 13 amidst strict precautions in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 13.66 lakh candidates appeared in the examination, out of which 7,71,500 had qualified.

After the amendment in the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 last year, 13 All India Institute of Medical Sciences and the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research located in Puducherry are conducting entrance examinations for MBBS courses through NEET. The exam will be conducted in 11 languages ​​- English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
