Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has fiercely targeted former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. He called the UPA government a government of scams.
New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has responded to former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh's statement on the economic situation of the Modi government. He said that under Dr. Manmohan Singh's government, the economic condition of the country had become policy paralysis in a way. The UPA was a government of scams. Corruption continued to happen in his government and he was sitting silently watching.
Sitharaman's attack on Manmohan Singh
The Finance Minister said that 22 times during the time of Manmohan Singh, the inflation rate was more than 10 percent. Manmohan Singh has been responsible for bringing India into Fragile 5. The Finance Minister alleged that Dr Singh's statement was in view of the elections in Punjab, it has nothing to do with reality.
Why did Manmohan Singh keep quiet?
The Finance Minister also questioned the alleged involvement of Yogi in the National Stock Exchange and the operation of NSE through it. The Finance Minister said that why did Manmohan Singh remain silent then?
Sitharaman also rained on Congress
Oxfam's criteria for producing data is wrong. The Finance Minister took a dig that Congress is making such faulty data its basis.
