Sonbhadra DM TK Shibu is accused of corruption in mining and construction works.
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday suspended Sonbhadra District Magistrate TK Shibu for alleged irregularities in a mining case. Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Avneesh Awasthi said, "The District Magistrate of Sonbhadra has been suspended for alleged irregularities in mining." Apart from this, the SSP of Ghaziabad has also been suspended.
Relaxation in Legislative Assembly elections
In a statement issued by the government, it was said, 'Complaints of corruption in mining and other construction works against DM TK Shibu have been made by public representatives. Along with this, negligence was done by not sealing the postal ballot paper in the Vidhan Sabha elections, due to which the situation of cancellation of polling of the entire district had arisen.

However, he refused to give detailed information about this. According to the official website of the Department of Appointments and Personnel, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shibu, a 2012 batch IAS officer, was posted as District Magistrate of Sonbhadra on 23 October 2021.
