PM Modi gave a gift of 17,500 crores to Uttarakhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 23 different development schemes worth Rs 17,500 crore in Uttarakhand. These projects are related to many sectors including irrigation, roads, residential health infrastructure, industries, sanitation, drinking water supply.

Delhi: PM Narendra Modi said that Uttarakhand has completed 20 years of its establishment. In these years, you have also seen such people running the government who used to say – whether you rob Uttarakhand, save my government. These people looted Uttarakhand with both hands.


Those who love Uttarakhand can't even think so. The PM further said that today when the public has come to know the truth of these people, then these people have opened a new shop. That's the shop - to spread rumours. Make a rumour, then spread it and keep shouting day and night, believing that rumour to be true.


Addressing the public, the PM asked how many rivers originate from Uttarakhand. Since independence, people here have seen two more streams. There is a stream - to keep the mountain out of development and the other stream - to unite day and night for the development of the mountain. People from the first stream always want to keep you out of development.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that for the development of the overall infrastructure of Haldwani city, we are coming with a plan of about Rs 2,000 crore. Now there will be unprecedented improvement in water, sewerage, roads, parking, street lights everywhere in Haldwani.


PM Modi started his address with Kumaoni dialect. The PM said that Kumaon has a big role in the country's independence. The PM said that I had a deep relationship with Kumaon. My feelings are attached to Uttarakhand. The PM described the mountain cap worn in honour as a matter of pride. The PM said that this is the decade of Uttarakhand. The PM said that to make this decade the decade of Uttarakhand, we have emphasised on the need to do many development works at a fast pace. New hydro projects growing in Uttarakhand, increasing industrial capacity in Uttarakhand will make this decade the decade of Uttarakhand.

Out of 23 projects, the foundation stone of 17 projects worth more than Rs 14,100 crore was laid. These projects include schemes related to irrigation, roads, housing, health infrastructure, industries, sanitation, drinking water supply. Six projects including several road widening projects, a hydroelectric project in Pithoragarh and projects to improve the sewerage network in Nainital were inaugurated at the event.
