‘e-RUPI voucher will write a new chapter '

Prime Minister Modi said, 'I am sure that e-RUPI voucher will also write new chapters of success. Our banks and payment gateways have a big role to play in this. Hundreds of our private hospitals, corporates, industry, NGOs and other institutions have also shown great interest in this.


He said, 'The work that has been done in the last 6-7 years for digital infrastructure and digital transactions in the country, is being recognized by the world today. Especially in India, a huge base of fintech has been created. Such a base is not there even in big countries.


PM Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) said, 'Our government started the PM Svanidhi Yojana. Currently, in small and big cities of the country, more than 23 lakh street vendors and vendors have been given help under this scheme. In this Corona period, about Rs 2,300 crore has been given to them.


'Rupay Card Launched in Singapore and Bhutan'

He said, 'India's Rupee card is also increasing the pride of the country. It has also been launched in Singapore and Bhutan. Today, there are 66 crore rupees cards in the country and thousands of crores of rupees are being transacted in the country through rupay cards. Every month new records of UPI transactions are being created. In the month of July, more than 300 crore transactions have been done through UPI, in which transactions worth Rs 6 lakh crore have taken place.


The Prime Minister said, 'Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, 1 lakh 35 thousand crore rupees have been directly transferred to the accounts of farmers. This time the government procurement of wheat from farmers, about Rs 85,000 crore has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers.


He said, 'If money has been sent by the government for books, then e-RUPI will ensure that only books are bought. If money has been sent for uniforms, then it should be spent on uniforms, if money has been sent for fertilizer, then it should be spent on it.


'With time more things will be added to e-RUPI'

PM Modi said, 'With time, more things will be added to e-RUPI. Like if someone wants to spend in the treatment of someone, someone wants to provide financial help for the right medicines and food to the TB patient, or wants to provide food and environmental related facilities to the children, then e-RUPI is very helpful for them.


The Prime Minister said, 'Today the country is giving a new dimension to digital governance. e-RUPI Voucher is going to play a big role in making digital transactions, DBT more effective in the country.


The PM said, 'India is showing the world today that they are second to none in adopting technology and connecting with it. When it comes to innovations, use of technology in service delivery, India has the ability to give global leadership along with big countries of the world.
