PM Modi's message to the nation in 'Mann Ki Baat', 'Shopping on Diwali means Vocal for Local'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the sisters living in Kupwara, Kashmir, are sewing the tricolor flag for the Indian Army. I appreciate the spirit of these sisters.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation today (Sunday) at 11 am through radio program Mann Ki Baat. Today the Prime Minister addressed the 82nd edition of Mann Ki Baat. In today's program, PM Modi congratulated the countrymen for 100 crore vaccinations.

Congratulations to the country for 100 crore vaccinations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, `My dear countrymen, hello to all of you. Kind regards, hello. And I am saying this very salutation also because after 100 crore vaccine doses, today the country is moving ahead with new enthusiasm, new energy.

The success of the vaccine program shows India's potential

PM Modi said that the success of our vaccine program shows India's potential. Shows the power of the mantra of everyone's efforts. Friends, the figure of 100 crore vaccine doses is very big, but millions of small inspiring and proud experiences and many examples are attached to it. I had this strong belief because I am well aware of the capabilities of my country, the people of my country. I knew that our healthcare workers would leave no stone unturned to vaccinate the countrymen.

The Prime Minister said that our health workers set a new example with their tireless hard work and determination. He established a new standard of service to humanity with his determination and innovation. The work of applying 100 percent first dose has been completed in Bageshwar, Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand government is also to be congratulated for this because it is a very difficult and difficult area.

PM Modi salutes the Iron Man

PM Modi said that my dear countrymen, you know that next Sunday, 31 October is the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. On behalf of every listener of 'Mann Ki Baat' and on my behalf, I bow to the Iron Man. Friends, we celebrate 31st October as 'National Unity Day'. It is the responsibility of all of us that we must join some activity which gives the message of unity.

PM Modi calls for celebrating unity day

The Prime Minister said that you must have seen that recently the Gujarat Police has taken out a bike rally from Lakhpat Fort in Kutch to the Statue of Unity. Tripura Police personnel are doing a bike rally from Tripura to Statue of Unity to celebrate Unity Day. That is, connecting the country from the east to the west. Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel are also giving a message of unity of the country by taking out a similar bike rally from Uri to Pathankot. I salute all these soldiers.

He further said that I have also come to know about many sisters of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. These sisters are stitching the tricolor for the army and government offices in Kashmir. This work is full of patriotism. I appreciate the spirit of these sisters. You too must do something for the unity of India, for the excellence of India. You will see how much satisfaction you get.

PM Modi said that in the Amrit Mahotsav also the colors of our art, culture, songs and music must be filled. I am also getting many suggestions from your side related to Amrit Mahotsav and this power of song-music-art. These tips are very valuable to me. I had sent them to the Ministry of Culture for study. I am glad that the ministry took these suggestions very seriously and acted upon them in such a short span of time. One of these suggestions is a competition related to patriotic songs.

The Prime Minister said that dear countrymen, at this time in the Amrit Mahotsav, we are remembering the brave sons and daughters of the country, those great virtuous souls. Next month on November 15, the birth anniversary of one such great man, brave warrior, Lord Birsa Munda is about to come. Lord Birsa Munda is also known as 'Dharti Aba'. Do you know what it means? It means father of earth. The way Lord Birsa Munda fought to protect his culture, his forest, his land, he could only do the earth. He taught us to be proud of our culture and roots. How many threats the foreign government gave them, how much pressure they put, but they did not leave the tribal culture.

PM Modi said that the month of October is being painted in the colors of festivals and Diwali is coming a few days from now. Diwali, then Govardhan Puja then Bhai Dooj, these three festivals must happen. During this Chhath Puja will also take place. It is also the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev in November. You all must have started planning for shopping from now on, but do you remember, shopping means 'vocal for local'.
