New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the citizens on the occasion of various harvest festivals and wished everyone good health and happiness and prosperity in life. It is to be known that the festivals of Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Magh Bihu, Bhogi and Uttarayan are being celebrated in the country today. In a series of tweets, the Prime Minister said, "Wishing you all a very Happy Makar Sankranti. May this festival associated with the worship of nature bring health and happiness in everyone's life.
The Prime Minister also wished the citizens on Pongal, Magh Bihu, and Bhogi festivals through a tweet made in different languages. He said, “Pongal is a sign of the culture of Tamil Nadu. Many many wishes to all of you on this occasion, especially to all the Tamil people spread across the world. I wish that our harmony with nature and brotherhood in the society deepens even more.
In another tweet, he said, "Wishing you all a very Happy Magh Bihu. I wish that this festival brings happiness and prosperity in the lives of all of you." He also wished the citizens on Uttarayan and Bhogi. Before Pongal, Bhogi festival is celebrated in many parts of Tamil Nadu and South India.
