Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Abu Dhabi on a tour of the United Arab Emirates. At the airport here, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed warmly welcomed PM Modi and also hugged him.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi will condole the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, former President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said that Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, was present at the Abu Dhabi airport to interact with the PM in a special way along with senior members of the royal family.
Apart from this, while giving information in a video, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has just reached Abu Dhabi from Germany. Here he is here to mourn the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, former President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. PM Modi was received by the President of UAE upon his arrival in Abu Dhabi. After this both the counterparts held a meeting and condoled the death of the former President and also expressed condolences.
Modi condoled the death of former President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the Gulf nation of United Arab Emirates. India had declared one day of state mourning after the death of Sheikh Khalifa. After this PM Modi left for India from United Arab Emirates. President Sheikh came to sea off him at the airport.
