On the occasion of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to Indore on the second day of the ongoing Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan. During this, he started his address by praising Indori city and its flavours. Later, he also tasted Indori and Malvi cuisine along with around 140 NRIs.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Indore on the second day of the ongoing Pravasi Bhartiya Sammelan in Indore, the cleanest city of the country. In his address, he praised Indore city as well as the flavors here. Later, he enjoyed the cuisine of Indore and Malwa in lunch with around 140 NRI guests.
While addressing the overseas Indians, PM Modi praised the delicious cuisine of Indore, while after finishing the address, he had lunch with about 140 overseas Indians from 70 countries who had come to attend the conference. Many delicious dishes of Malwa were included in PM Modi's lunch, which he relished.
Tadka of exotic dishes with Malvi
Foreign dishes were also served in the lunch along with Malvi cuisine. There are different stalls of poha, different types of sev, in which the special things of Indore were served. Delicious local dishes like Bhutte Ka Kees, Garadu Chaat, Nachni Crackers, Dahi Chandiya were included in the lunch. Apart from Madhya Pradesh, special dishes of Rajasthan and Gujarat were also special. Bajra Khichda, Sawa's Sweet Kheer, Saffron Jalebi, Shikanji, Gulabjamun, Sitaphal Rabri, Gajar Ka Halwa were served in sweets.
Emphasis on investment in PM Modi's lunch
140 people were included to have lunch with PM Modi at the Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan. In this, internationally renowned Indian industrialists, international politicians and NRIs of India were included. The participants from Indore told that during the lunch there was emphasis on investment strategies. With this, Modi discussed with the overseas Indians to take Indian culture and tradition to the international level. He also sought advice from the expatriates regarding the measures for India's progress.
PM Modi told Indore the 'capital of taste'
Earlier, in his address at the Pravasi Sammelan in Indore, he praised the industrial city of Madhya Pradesh and the cleanest city of the country. He said in his address that 'the city you are in is also wonderful. Indore is not a city, it is an era, which moves ahead of time, but also preserves its heritage. He said that for food and drink, our Indore is excellent not only in the country but in the world. Whoever saw the snacks, sago khichdi, kachori, samosas, shikanji here, his mouth water did not stop.
PM Modi said that '56 shop is not only famous, it is also a bullion, that's why some people call Indore the capital of cleanliness as well as taste. I am sure you yourself will not forget the experience here and will not forget to go back and tell others about it.
