Statue of Maa Durga vandalized in a temple in Jharkhand, anger among people

New Delhi: There is a situation of outrage and tension due to the incident of breaking the idol of Maa Durga in the temple located at Godda district headquarters of Jharkhand. Godda market has been kept closed in protest against the incident. Police say that whoever has done this act will be arrested soon.

On Tuesday morning, when people reached for darshan, the idol of Maa Durga was found damaged. The news quickly spread throughout the market. A large number of people gathered. People have deep faith in Badi Durga temple here. On the information of the local people, the police administration team reached the spot. In view of the public anger, many police officers including Godda SP, DSP, and SDPO are camping.


'Footprints have been found on the Pindi of the temple'

SDPO Anand Mohan Singh said that investigation is being done on all the points. It is suspected that some mentally retarded person may have carried out this incident. Footprints have been found on the Pindi of the temple. The police have taken a sample of the fingerprint of the broken statue. There is no CCTV near Durga temple, but police are trying to identify the elements behind the incident through CCTV footage installed at public places in the market.


It is worth noting that these days the case of the murder of daughter Ankita of Dumka of Jharkhand is hot. People from across the country are angry with Ankita's death. At the same time, a video of Ankita studying in class 12th just before her death has also surfaced, in which she has narrated the incident.
