The Sunjwan area of Jammu is the place where the terrorists once again acted cowardly and targeted the security forces. In this attack of terrorists, 1 soldier was martyred, while in retaliation, the security forces also killed 2 terrorists.
Terrorists attacked with grenade
Sunjwan Army Camp is the main station of the army. The Chadha camp is just one km away from there and the soldiers' bus was parked in this camp, which was attacked. At around 4 in the morning, a bus parked in Chadha camp of Sunjwan was attacked with a grenade. 15 jawans were present on the bus at that time. After the attack on the CISF, firing started between the terrorists and the security personnel, in which 2 terrorists were killed and 11 security personnel were injured. The terrorists came wearing suicide jackets.
Terrorists killed were fidayeen and came wearing suicide jackets. Two AK-47s and grenades have also been recovered from the terrorists. Along with this, a suicide jacket was also recovered. The place where the terrorist attack took place in Sunjwan is only 15 km away from the meeting place of PM Modi. PM Modi will address the gathering at Palli village on 24 April. Before the meeting of the PM, the security personnel had also received information about the presence of terrorists, after which continuous search operations were being conducted.
