Former Surankote MLA Chaudhary Mohammad Akram said the incident took place at Lassana village around 7.30 pm on Friday and his family had a narrow escape as shrapnel passed through the roof of several rooms in their house. Akram said, "I was not at home at the time of the incident. Later, I came to know that there was a loud explosion, followed by some gunshots. Soon after the incident police and army officials came to my house and they are investigating the matter." are doing."
