Uddhav Thackeray resigns from the post of CM before floor test

Uddhav Thackeray has resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He has also resigned from the post of Legislative Council member.

New Delhi: Uddhav Thackeray has resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra after a setback from the Supreme Court. He announced this while addressing the people of the state. At the same time, Thackeray made it clear that no one can snatch the Shiv Sena that I have. I am also resigning from the post of Member of the Legislative Council.


Addressing the people of the state just after the Supreme Court's decision, he referred to the decisions taken during his tenure. He said that our good deeds were noticed. We decided to change the names of the cities. During this, Uddhav Thackeray praised Sonia Gandhi and Sharad Pawar.


Uddhav Thackeray said that the god of justice has given the verdict, has asked for floor test. Thanks to the governor too. Democracy should be followed. We will follow it. Targeting the rebels, the Shiv Sena chief said that you had to come and talk in front. Not going to Surat and Guwahati. Those who gave everything are angry.


Indications given in the cabinet

Uddhav Thackeray had given indications of resignation in the cabinet meeting itself today. He had said after the meeting that you supported me for two and a half years. On reaching Mantralaya, the Chief Minister bowed before the statues of Chhatrapati Shivaji and the architect of the Constitution, BR Ambedkar.


After thanking his colleagues in the cabinet meeting, Uddhav Thackeray reached the CM's office. Here he called all the staff of the Chief Minister's Office together and thanked them. Expressing the spirit of cooperation in the last two and a half years, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the employees of the Chief Minister's Office.
