New Delhi: After a video surfaced of Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) Gujarat unit president Gopal Italia purportedly mocking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said the people of the state should support the party for this. Will teach you a lesson. It is worth noting that an old video of Italia surfaced on Thursday, in which he can be heard purportedly mocking Prime Minister Modi's 100-year-old mother Heera Ba. In the same video, Italia also allegedly used derogatory words for Modi.
Smriti Irani attacked Kejriwal fiercely
Attacking AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, Union minister Smriti Irani told reporters on Friday, "If you think abusing the Prime Minister's mother will help you gain political popularity in Gujarat, then you are wrong. For this mistake, Gujarat and Gujarati people will teach you a lesson in the upcoming elections.” Irani alleged that Italia made objectionable remarks at the behest of Kejriwal.
'Insult to Hindu society and women going to the temple'
He claimed that the AAP leader from Gujarat has made several remarks in which he has "insulted" Hindu society and temple-going women. He said making objectionable remarks against 100-year-old Hira Ba by AAP leaders was "totally unforgivable" as he had nothing to do with politics. "Her (Hira Ba) only mistake is that she gave birth to Narendra Modi who is sabotaging your (Kejriwal) politics," Irani said.
BJP leaders are targeting him - Italia
Responding to Italia's claim that BJP leaders were targeting him, citing Patidar community, the Union Minister said that now he is trying to hide under the guise of new excuses. Huh.
