It is the first step to give courage to the poor to come out of poverty. Out of the 2.5 crore houses that have been constructed so far, about two crore houses are owned by women.

To overcome the problems of women, the government has taken the initiative to provide water to every household. Under this scheme in two and a half years, more than 6 crore families across the country have got the connection to pure drinking water.
