Yogi government extended free ration scheme for 3 months, 15 crore people would benefit

New Delhi: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has extended the free ration scheme for three months, giving a big gift to 15 crore poor people of the state. Now 15 crore eligible people of the state will be able to get the benefit of this scheme till September. Earlier, after returning to power, the government had extended this scheme for three months. Let us inform that under this scheme started during the Corona period, free ration is being given to the BPL ration card holders.


It is worth noting that the free ration scheme is being seen as a game changer. This scheme is believed to be an important role behind the bumper victory of BJP in the 2022 assembly elections. 35 kg food grains to Antyodaya public

Under the free ration scheme, 15 crore people of the state will continue to get pulses, salt, sugar along with other food grains. Under this scheme launched in April 2020, 15 crore Antyodaya people of the state get 35 kilograms of food grains and eligible families get five kilograms each. Under this, one kilogram of pulses, one kilogram of refined oil, and one kilogram of iodised salt are also provided to each family.


80 crore families are getting ration across the country

The central government had started this scheme to provide rations to the poor during the Corona period. Under this scheme, 80 crore people in the country are getting its benefit.
