Yogi government's big gift to the youth, will give free smartphone and tablet on December 25

Chief Minister Yogi has announced to give free mobiles and tablets to one crore youth to upgrade them technically. Under the first phase, on December 25, CM Yogi will distribute 60 thousand mobiles and 40 thousand tablets.

Lucknow: On the birthday of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Yogi government is going to give free smartphones and tablets to the youth. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will launch the free smartphone and tablet distribution scheme on December 25. In the first phase, Yogi will give free mobiles and tablets to one lakh final year youth at Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. A large number of students and girl students from every district of the state will participate in the program.

This is happening for the first time in the history of the country that such a large number of youths are being given free mobiles and tablets. Never before has such a large number of free mobiles and tablets been distributed anywhere.


In the first phase, students of MA, BA, BSc, ITI, MBBS, MD, BTech, MTech, PhD MSME and Skill Development etc., who are studying in the final year, will be given preference. Kumar Vineet, Special Secretary, IT and Electronics Department said that more than 38 lakh youth have been registered on Digi Shakti portal. Student registration is still going on.


Orders have been issued by the government to supply mobiles and tablets to well-known companies like Lava, Samsung and Acer. The companies will start the supply before 24th December. The special thing is that in order to make the procurement process transparent and fair, the largest order has been issued on the GeM portal so far.


In the first phase, an order of about two thousand 35 crore rupees has been issued for the purchase of mobiles and tablets. In this, orders have been placed for 1.5 lakh mobiles at the rate of Rs 10,740 and 7 lakh 20 thousand tablets at the rate of Rs 12,606. A total of about 18 lakh mobiles and tablets are going to be supplied by the companies soon.
