AAP leader arrested red handed taking bribe, bribe money used to go through peanut seller

CBI arrested Aam Aadmi Party's councillor from Delhi in connection with bribery of Rs 20,000. According to the CBI, Geeta Rawat was demanding 20 thousand from the victim in lieu of getting the roof built. The victim gave a complaint to the CBI, after which the CBI first arrested one of the middlemen by trapping.

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday arrested an Aam Aadmi Party leader for taking bribes red handed. Ward number 217/10E West Vinod Municipal Corporation of East Delhi, Geeta Rawat of Aam Aadmi Party has been arrested by the CBI red-handed while taking bribe. The bribe money used to go to Geeta Rawat through a peanut seller.


CBI arrested Aam Aadmi Party's councillor from Delhi in connection with bribery of Rs 20,000. According to the CBI, Geeta Rawat was demanding 20 thousand from the victim in lieu of getting the roof built. The victim gave a complaint to the CBI, after which the CBI first arrested one of the middlemen by trapping, to whom the victim had given 20 thousand rupees. This middleman puts up a street vendor outside the councillor's office. According to the CBI, this bribe money was to reach Geeta Rawat through middlemen. However, the search is still on.


When the father of the peanut man Sanaullah came to know that his son was being held by someone, he went to the office of the municipal councillor of the race. There when he asked why have you caught my son? So he said that we are from CBI, now you will know why we have caught your son? His father came to know that corporation councillor Geeta Rawat used to go to the corporation councillor Geeta Rawat through the bribe money of Sanaullah.


The CBI gave money to the peanut seller by applying colour to the notes, when Geeta went to give the same money to Rawat, the CBI caught red handed and the notes were searched and the same notes were recovered. The CBI has taken Sanaullah and corporator Geeta Rawat with them to the CBI office and are being interrogated.
