Delhi Jal Board Scam: 'Only arrest is not enough in DJB scam', Bidhuri said - CAG should audit

Delhi Jal Board News: Leader of Opposition Ramveer Singh Bidhuri claims that only after the CAG audit, it will be known that the Jal Board scam is worth Rs 200 crore. CM Kejriwal is responsible for this scam.

New Delhi: One attack after another by the BJP against the Delhi government continues. Now Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramveer Singh Bidhuri has demanded that the Kejriwal government's sins will not be washed away by the mere arrest of 3 people in the Delhi Jal Board scam. An FIR should also be lodged against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Jal Board scam. This is because as the chairman of the Jal Board, he was fully aware of this scam. That means they cannot escape from their responsibility.

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly and BJP MLA Ramveer Singh Bidhuri says that in the year 2015, Delhi Jal Board gave Corporation Bank the right to recover the bills of Delhi Jal Board. The bank sublet this work to another company. Not only this, the second handed over this work to the third company. The company instead of depositing the cash received from the consumers, deposited the checks with the Jal Board, in fake accounts. Behind doing this there was a nexus between the officials of the Delhi Jal Board, the fund collector agent appointed by the Jal Board and the bank officials. In this way a scam worth crores of rupees was carried out in Delhi Jal Board.

Bidhuri claims: 200 crore scam

The Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly said that it is surprising that at the end of 2018 this scam came to the fore of some senior officials of the Delhi Jal Board. After that, when the investigation was done, it was found that a scam of 200 crores had taken place. Delhi Jal Board officials gave this information to Chief Minister and Jal Board Chairman Arvind Kejriwal. Instead of taking action in this matter, CM Arvind Kejriwal continued the contract of the bank. Not only this, per bill commission was also increased from Re 1 to Rs 6. On the demand of CAG audit, he said that CAG wrote several letters, but the government did not respond to it. It will be known only after the CAG audit that it is a scam of 200 crores. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is responsible for this scam. By registering an FIR against him, the Jal Board scam should be probed thoroughly.
