Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Rail will run at a speed of 180 kmph, work will be completed by 2023

The Delhi-Meerut rapid rail will take you to Meerut in just 55 minutes. This train will be fully equipped with modern facilities. This train is a mixture of metro and rail. Its work will be completed by 2025.

New Delhi/Ghaziabad: Rapid Rail from Delhi to Meerut is one of the important projects. Work is going on very fast on this project. This train will complete the journey from Delhi to Ghaziabad via Meerut in just 60 minutes. The priority section of 17 km of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor will be made operational by 2023. After the completion of the corridor work, the distance between Delhi and Meerut will be covered in 55 minutes.


A total of 25 stations in the entire route

Vinay Kumar Singh, Managing Director, National Capital Region Transport Corporation said that there will be a total of 25 stations in this corridor of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut. After the completion of the project, about eight lakh passengers are expected to travel daily. The trains will run at a speed of 180 kmph, thereby covering the distance between Delhi and Meerut in 55 minutes.


Project to be completed by 2025

The priority section of 17 km of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor will be made operational by 2023. The 80-km-long corridor connecting Delhi to Ghaziabad and Meerut in Uttar Pradesh with a 17-km priority section including Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai and Duhai depots is expected to be completed by 2023. The entire project can be completed by making the corridor operational by 2025.
