Dengue cases continue to rise in Delhi, with 291 cases found in last week

787 cases of dengue were found in the month of October in 2019, 1114 in 2018 and 2022 in 2017. While talking about the whole year, 4726 cases were found in 2017, 2798 in 2018. In 2019, 2036 dengue cases were found.

New Delhi: Dengue cases are increasing in Delhi. During the last one week, 291 dengue cases have come to the fore. So far this year, 2761 cases of dengue have been found. However, no one has died of dengue this year. At the same time, 212 cases of malaria and 43 cases of chikungunya have been reported this year. During the last week, 5 cases of malaria and 2 cases of chikungunya have been found.


In the month of October 2021, there were 1196 cases of dengue in Delhi. According to statistics, after the year 2017, between 2022, the lowest number of cases were registered in Delhi in the month of October 2020, when a total of 346 dengue patients were found. This year, the least number of dengue cases were found in Delhi in the month of February, when 16 patients were found.


Dengue killed 23 people in 2021

In 2019, 787 cases of dengue were found in the month of October 1114 in 2018 and 2022 in 2017. On the other hand, if we talk about the whole year, then 4726 cases were found in 2017, 2798 in 2018, 2036 in 2019, 1072 in 2022, and 9613 in 2021. In the last 6 years, the maximum death due to dengue in Delhi was in 2021, when 23 people died. Whereas in 2017, 10, 4 in 2018. 2 in 2019, and one patient died in 2022.


Prevent dengue

To prevent dengue, do not allow water to accumulate around the house. Along with this, sprinkle insecticide medicine in the house. At the same time, children should be dressed in such clothes, so that their hands and feet are completely covered. Use a mosquito net while sleeping. Use mosquito repellents and keep tanks and utensils covered.
