From now on, the timing of the last train on all lines of the Delhi Metro, except the Airport Express Line, will be extended by about 30-45 minutes on Indian Premier League (IPL) match days at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

New Delhi: Keeping in mind the IPL matches, Delhi Metro has decided to change the timings of its last trains. From now on, the timing of the last train on all lines of the Delhi Metro, except the Airport Express line, will be extended by about 30-45 minutes on Indian Premier League (IPL) match days at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, officials said. Arun Jaitley Stadium (Feroz Shah Kotla Ground) is adjacent to Delhi Gate Metro Station.
Last metro time will increase by 30-45 minutes
Delhi Metro said in a statement on Monday, "DMRC will extend the timing of its last train on all lines (except airport line) by about 30-45 minutes, so that the commuters can reach their destinations easily." Let the IPL matches in Delhi be held on 4, 11, 20 and 29 April and 6, 13 and 20 May.
Metro will go in all directions from these interchange stations
Officials said that additional train movement beyond normal timings has been planned in such a way that they provide connectivity service in all directions from the interchange stations of Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Kashmiri Gate, Kirti Nagar, Indralok and Lajpat Nagar. Additional token vending machines, pre-vented token counters and staff will also be deployed at Delhi Gate Metro station for the convenience of commuters on match days.
Speed on Delhi Metro's Airport Line is now up to 100 km
Explain that the operating speed of Delhi Metro's Airport Express Line has recently been increased to 100 kilometres per hour. Officials said that the operational speed of this Airport Express Line has been increased for a month, after which passengers can now reach the Indira Gandhi International Airport in 21 minutes. Officials said that after a month's observation if the results are satisfactory, the operational speed can be increased to 110 kmph.
