Dy CM Sisodia on opening school in Delhi - Most people want it but we are reviewing the suggestions

New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said that no decision has been taken yet to reopen schools in the capital. Considering all aspects, a decision will be taken on this soon. On Monday, he said, we are reviewing the suggestions received from the public regarding the reopening of schools. Some people demanded the reopening of schools, some have asked to stay for now. Broadly speaking, it seems that most people are in favor of reopening schools. We will make a decision soon based on all the aspects (in which vaccinating children is the most important) and the feedback.


The Delhi government has sought suggestions from students, teachers and parents to reopen schools. Sisodia said that students, parents and teachers can give their suggestions regarding the process of reopening the schools, after considering the opinion of all the people, a collective decision will be taken to open the school.


Many states announced the opening of schools, in view of the corona epidemic, schools and colleges have been closed since March last year. However, now gradually schools and colleges are opening. Many states including Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh have announced the reopening of schools. Schools have been opened in Uttarakhand for class 9-12 students from today i.e. August 2. Apart from this, schools will be opened for students of classes 6-8 from August 16. In some schools of Punjab, students will be called in 2 shifts, in this, students of classes 1-11 will be called in the morning and students of class 12 will be called from 12 noon. Schools have been reopened in Chhattisgarh from class 10th to 12th. It has been decided to open both government and private schools with 50 percent capacity. Apart from this, schools have been reopened in the states of Maharashtra, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh. Schools will also open in Uttar Pradesh from August 16. Many other states are also churning on this.
