ED said in High Court – Satyendra Jain should not undergo a medical examination in LNJP

The ED filed an application in the court saying that the LNJP hospital is under the Delhi government, so there is doubt about the credibility of the report released from there. Due to this, the ED police had made the same application in the lower court but it was rejected by the court.

New Delhi: The ED has filed an application in the Delhi High Court against Delhi government minister Satyendar Jain in the money laundering case. Through this application, the ED has demanded from the High Court that the medical examination of Satyendra Jain should be done in some other hospital instead of LNJP Hospital. The reason behind this given by the ED is that the LNJP hospital comes under the Delhi government, so the credibility of the report released from there is not beyond doubt.

During this, the ED told the court that the medical examination of Satyendra Jain can be done in AIIMS and RML instead of LNJP. Significantly, Satyendar Jain had sought bail in the lower court citing ill health.

Later, Satyendra Jain was also admitted to LNJP Hospital on 15 July. The Enforcement Directorate had also demanded a medical examination in the lower court, arguing that the LNJP hospital is under the Delhi government. But rejecting this argument of the Delhi Police, the lower court directed LNJP to present the medical report.

It is worth noting that when the raid was conducted on June 6 in this case, the ED had seized a total of Rs 2.35 crore and about 133 gold coins. At the same time, before this, the Delhi High Court had also given a big relief to Satyendra Jain.

The court had dismissed the petition seeking the removal of Health Minister Satyendar Jain from the cabinet. The petition states that in custody Jain is still enjoying the perks and privileges of a cabinet minister. While he has serious charges in the money laundering case, for which severe punishment can be given.
