Lumpy virus havoc in Delhi, 33 new cases surfaced, 236 active cases

New Delhi: The outbreak of Lumpy virus is spreading very fast in the country's capital Delhi. Now cases of the lumpy virus have started being found in Delhi too. There are a total of 236 active cases infected with lumpy in the capital. On Wednesday, 33 new cases of the lumpy virus have been reported in Delhi. At the same time, 52 animals infected with lumpy have also been cured.


At the same time, according to Dr Rakesh Singh, Director, Animal Husbandry Department, the situation in Delhi is normal. Lumpy virus is not spreading very much and there is no need to panic. He said that people need to be aware of this. We have put 4 teams in South West Delhi. Stray animals are also included in the infected animals, whose number is about 50.


He said that lumpy virus does not come from animals to milk at all and the way of drinking or using milk, boil it and drink it. There is nothing dangerous. The maximum number of virus cases have been reported in South West Delhi. Work is being done to make people aware through 77 dispensaries of the Animal Husbandry Department.
