NIA had conducted raids in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP, Delhi, NCR, Maharashtra and MP to break the back of terrorism, gangsters and drugs and weapons.
New Delhi: The NIA has arrested 6 accused, including an aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, involved in terrorism, gangsters and smuggling of drugs and weapons. This arrest has taken place after the recent NIA Raid at 76 places in eight states. The National Investigation Agency has arrested six people, including Lucky Khokhar alias Dennis, a close aide of Canada-based 'designated terrorist', Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dalla.
NIA raided these states
To break the back of terrorism, gangsters and drugs and weapons, the NIA conducted raids in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP, Delhi, NCR, Maharashtra and MP. The people arrested by the NIA also include associates of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Goldie Brar.
Khalistani Arsh Dala's henchman also arrested
Lucky Khokhar, a resident of Bathinda, Punjab, has also been arrested by the NIA. Khokhar was arrested on Tuesday from Sriganganagar in Rajasthan. It is alleged that he was in direct and constant contact with Arsh Dala in Canada. Along with this, he also used to get money from him to carry out recruitment and terrorism related activities for him. It is alleged that he provided arms and ammunition to Arsh Dala's associates in Punjab, which were used to carry out the recent murder in Jagraon, Punjab, on the instructions of Arsh Dala. After this, the NIA had registered a case against seven people including Harvinder Singh alias Rinda, Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa and Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala on August 20, 2022. Significantly, the NIA has already arrested Deepak Ranga in this case.
Dala promotes Khalistani terrorism
An NIA spokesperson said that Pokhara was working for Dala, who was involved in the movement of arms, ammunition across international and inter-state borders to several Khalistani terrorist organizations in the country, including Khalistan Liberation Force, International and International Sikh Youth Federation, Babbar Khalsa. Has been involved in smuggling of gunpowder, explosives, IED etc. Apart from Khokhar, the NIA has arrested Lakhveer Singh, Harpreet, Dalip Bishnoi, Surinder alias Cheeku Chowdhary, Hari Om.
