NIRF Ranking 2023:Education Ministry released NIRF Ranking, IIT Madras, IISc became top institutions

The Ministry of Education has released the NIRF Ranking. The Educational Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has released the list of top colleges, universities and educational institutes in the country. See which institutes, universities and educational institutes made it to the top.

New Delhi: The National Institutional Ranking Framework ie NIRF ranking has been released. In this ranking, IIT Bangalore has become the top university in the country. Let us tell you that this year's ranking has been released by the Ministry of Education. Minister of State for Education and External Affairs, Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh has released the NIRF ranking.


On the other hand, IIT Madras has got the top position this year in overall. The NIRF ranking ranks institutions on the basis of learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduation results, outreach and perception. IIT Madras topped the overall NIRF ranking, followed by IISc Bangalore in second place and IIT Delhi in third place.


Only four categories such as Overall, College, University and Research Institute and seven specific categories including Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Law, Medical, Architecture and Dental were available till last year. Whereas this year a subject-specific ranking has been added in NIRF 2023, i.e. Agriculture and allied sectors.


As per the NIRF 2023 rankings, this year too, the Indian Institute of Madras (IIT) has secured the first rank in the overall category followed by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi has secured the third position in the NIRF 2023 ranking. In 2022, the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Bombay was ranked third in the overall category.
