Tremendous action is being taken to remove encroachments in the area.

Apart from this, information has been received that action will be taken to remove illegally settled slums in Raghubir Nagar area also. Even before this, the slum dwellers have started vacating their shanties. It is said that the team of MCD can reach here in some time. However, many MCD vehicles have already been installed there so that the goods can be filled in it. Apart from the local police, troops of paramilitary force are also being deployed to ensure that there is no ruckus during the operation.

On Monday, the SDMC team, which reached Shaheen Bagh to remove the encroachment and illegal occupation, was sent back by Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan and his supporters protesting heavily. There was also a jam on the road due to which there was a long queue of vehicles.
