New Delhi: A part of an automated multilevel parking facility at Delhi's Green Park, which was inaugurated by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) in November last year, collapsed on Tuesday evening. Corporation officials gave this information. The SDMC mayor has ordered a probe into the incident.
Officials claimed that no casualty or damage to cars was reported in the incident. Police said the Hauz Khas police station had received information about an incident of falling of electric floor plates (which move cars around) inside the multilevel parking lot.

Let us inform you that this automated stack parking facility was inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and Union Minister RK Singh along with senior officers of SDMC in November last year.
SDMC Mayor Mukesh Suryan said, “Cars are parked on platforms in such automated stack parking. Due to some technical snag, a platform at the parking facility collapsed. It was not a big event. No one was hurt and no car was damaged in this incident.
He said that strict action would be taken against those responsible for the incident. "An inquiry has been ordered into the incident. The contractors or officials who are responsible for the incident will not be spared."
