South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) Standing Committee Chairman BK Oberoi has said that the audit report of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has been prepared and will be presented in the House soon. He said that the allegations levelled by the Aam Aadmi Party on the Municipal Corporation are baseless, because the Aam Aadmi Party only does politics and for this benefit, they have been continuously making false allegations against the corporation.
BK Oberoi said that the Aam Aadmi Party is making false allegations against the corporation to mislead the public without verifying the facts, but I want to state that no new Chief Auditor for 6 months after the transfer of the previous Chief Auditor were not appointed, whereas the responsibility of appointing the new Chief Editor lies with the Delhi Government. That is why it is the responsibility of the Delhi government to understand this and not to accuse the corporation. He said that there was a delay in getting the audit report published due to the global pandemic, the corporation regularly gets the audit report printed, but this time it was delayed due to Covid-19.

BK Oberoi said that the Delhi government is making false allegations of corruption to malign the image of the municipal corporation, but it is very easy to make allegations whereas it is equally difficult to prove them, but before pointing fingers at the corporation. He said that when the corporation continuously sends its files to the Delhi government regarding many decisions, they are hung for months, and the Delhi government does not even release funds for the corporation on time.
