Srikashi Vishwanath Dham: 7.35 crore devotees arrived in a year, offering more than ₹ 100 crore

The number of tourists and visitors has increased in Varanasi due to the grand appearance of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Because of this, the economy is also gaining momentum through transport, hotels, guesthouses, sailors, workers, textile industry, handicrafts and other businesses.

Varanasi. Srikashi Vishwanath Dham has broken all records of offerings in its very first year. Tuesday 13 December is the first anniversary of the inauguration of Shrikashi Vishwanath Dham. Various colorful programs are being organized by the temple administration during this period. On the other hand, the big news among all this is that in the last one year, the devotees of Shiva who came from all over the country and the world to visit Srikashi Vishwanath, have openly offered cash, gold, silver and other metals in Baba's court, according to the assessment of the temple administration. According to sources, the total value of the offerings is more than Rs 100 crore.


Baba's court full of gold and silver

Since the inauguration of the Dham, more than 50 crore cash has been donated by the devotees. Out of this, 40 percent amount has been received by using online facilities. At the same time, precious metals (60 kg gold, 10 kg silver and 1500 kg copper) worth more than 50 crores have also been donated by the devotees. The outer and inner walls of the sanctum sanctorum have been gilded using donated gold and copper. Since December 13, 2021, more than 100 crore rupees have been offered by the devotees, which is the highest in the history of the temple. Also, compared to last year, this amount is more than 500 percent. Since its inauguration, more than 7.35 crore devotees have visited the temple till now. Let us tell you that through the head scanning machine installed at all the four gates of the Dham complex, the number of devotees is counted at regular intervals.



The cost of construction will be recovered in 4 to 5 years.

According to the temple administration, about Rs 900 crore was spent on the construction and compensation of the Srikashi Vishwanath corridor. In the coming time, the number of devotees is sure to increase due to the expansion of facilities in the Dham, due to which offerings from the devotees of Shiva will also increase. He told that apart from the offerings, there will be additional income from the buildings built in the corridor. It is believed that the cost of the corridor will be recovered in the next 4 to 5 years from the offerings of the devotees and the income from the newly constructed buildings in the premises.


The convenience of the devotees has increased after the inauguration

After the inauguration, continuous efforts have been made by the temple trust to improve the facilities for the devotees. Special attention has been paid to cleanliness along with drinking water arrangement, arrangement of shade, mats and other basic facilities. 50 employees are employed in the Sugam Darshan system, while 200 personnel have been employed in the cleanliness system and 100 personnel have been deployed to provide better security and facilities to the visitors. Apart from this, lockers, help desks have been set up. Wheel chairs have been arranged for the convenience of old and disabled people coming to visit the temple.

Confirming this two days ago, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said that earlier in a year 1 crore tourists used to come to Kashi, now in a month so many tourists are coming to Banaras.
