In the first phase, voting will be held in 58 assembly seats of western Uttar Pradesh in UP. These include Agra, Aligarh, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Mathura, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar and Shamli. Polling is to be held in UP in a total of seven phases, while the results will be declared on March 10.
SP and BJP released manifesto
BJP and Samajwadi Party released their manifesto on the last day of election campaign. BJP has named its manifesto as 'Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra'. Akhilesh Yadav announced that model schools will be built in every district, by 2027 one crore jobs will be created. He has promised one crore jobs in 5 years. Apart from this, money will be given to sugarcane farmers in 15 days and loan will be given for studies by creating a State Education Fund. Apart from this, all people will get free health facilities, Samajwadi canteen service will be started and old pension of employees will be restored. 25 lakh will be given to the families of farmers martyred in the movement.
