Weather change in Delhi-NCR, rain with strong winds, 9 flights diverted

Meteorological Department had already issued an alert regarding the rain. The Meteorological Department had predicted heavy rains on March 30 and 31. But it started raining on the evening of 29 March itself.

New Delhi: Scorching sun was coming out in Delhi-NCR for 2-3 days. Along with this, the heat also troubled the people. But this evening the weather of Delhi-NCR became pleasant. It rained along with strong winds at many places in NCR including Delhi. Due to this, the temperature has dropped. Khan Market and Govindpuri in South Delhi witnessed very heavy rains.


On the other hand, according to airport sources, news agency ANI told that due to bad weather, 9 flights have been diverted from Delhi airport to Jaipur airport.


The Meteorological Department issued an alert

Meteorological Department had already issued an alert regarding the rain. The Meteorological Department had predicted heavy rains on March 30 and 31. But it started raining on the evening of 29 March itself.


There is a possibility of light rain with strong wind on Thursday and Friday. The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for Friday. Due to this, a slight drop in temperature will also be seen. Also, partly cloudy weather was predicted by the department on Wednesday. It started raining on Wednesday evening after the IMD forecast.
