New Delhi: Improvement in the air quality in the country's capital Delhi has been seen on Monday morning. However, it is not fair to consider it as relief from pollution in Delhi. According to the National Air Quality Index, the air quality index (AQI) improved to 173 at 5 am on Monday, which falls in the 'unhealthy' category.
Whereas on Sunday morning AQI was 342 which comes in the very poor category. Talking about the cold, due to the activation of Western Disturbance, there has been snowfall in the mountains of Jammu Kashmir and Leh Ladakh. It is believed that its effect is going to fall in Delhi.
According to Times Now, all major monitoring stations in the national capital have shown improvement in air quality. The AQI in Anand Vihar was 191 while Pusa recorded 177. It touched 209 in the Delhi airport area. Along with this, AQI 179 was recorded in the area of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Specifically, AQI 163 has been recorded in Noida on Monday morning.
At the same time, the torture of winter is also expected to increase in Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature of Delhi is likely to drop from December 13. Whereas after December 15, the cold will increase. Talking about the drop in temperature, there is a possibility of a drop of two degrees in the maximum and minimum temperatures. According to IMD, by December 16, the maximum temperature is likely to reach 24 and the minimum temperature is 6 degree Celsius.
